All 120 cards. Filter by rarity, search by name, number, artist or type, and tap or click a card to enlarge it and read its text.
Card numbering and rarity names follow TCGplayer's catalog as carried by TCGGuy Market Insights. Card text, HP, types and illustrator credits come from the TCGdex open database (MIT licence). Basic Energy cards carry no illustrator credit.
Market Insights' catalog has no entry for Charjabug (025/084), so that one card comes from the TCGdex database and its image from TCGdex; the official card shows it as a Common, the same as TCGdex and Bulbapedia's set list.
The Pokémon Company International announced Pitch Black on April 30, 2026 and released it worldwide on July 17, 2026, as the fifth main expansion of the Mega Evolution Series and the English release of the Japanese Abyss Eye set. It brings in the Mega Evolution Pokémon of the Mega Dimension DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Its story beat is Mega Darkrai ex blotting out the city lights and the starry sky, with Mega Zeraora ex striking back with lightning and Mega Chandelure ex and Mega Excadrill ex joining the fight. Mega Delphox ex and Mega Slowbro ex complete the six Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, and Lurantis ex, Wailord ex, Rampardos ex and Morpeko ex are the four other Pokémon ex.
This page is the reference list: every Pitch Black card in set order, with the rarity names TCGplayer and most price trackers use, the illustrator credit, and the card text. If you want pull-rate math and buying advice for this set, our Pitch Black pull rates article covers that; if you want the other sets in the series, the card lists for Mega Evolution, Phantasmal Flames, Ascended Heroes, Perfect Order, Chaos Rising are built the same way.
Pitch Black has 120 cards: numbers 001 to 084 are the main set, and 085 to 120 are the secret rares (the number on the card is higher than the set size). Rarity names below are the ones printed on the cards and used by TCGplayer. Every tier in the set, with the card numbers it occupies:
| Rarity | Cards | Numbers | What it is |
|---|---|---|---|
| Common | 37 | 001/084 to 073/084 | The bulk of the set. Non-holo. |
| Uncommon | 26 | 006/084 to 082/084 | Non-holo; most Trainer cards sit here. |
| Rare | 11 | 012/084 to 084/084 | Holo rares; the regular print of the set's stronger non-ex Pokémon. |
| Double Rare | 10 | 004/084 to 065/084 | Every Pokémon ex, including the Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, in its regular art. |
| Ultra Rare | 18 | 096/084 to 113/084 | Full-art Pokémon ex and Trainer cards. |
| Illustration Rare | 11 | 085/084 to 095/084 | Scene-style alternate art of a non-ex Pokémon, each by a named illustrator. |
| Special Illustration Rare | 6 | 114/084 to 119/084 | The set's premium alternate-art Pokémon ex and Supporters. |
| Mega Hyper Rare | 1 | 120/084 | The gold-foil top of the ladder. |
A booster box (the Booster Display) is 36 packs of 10 cards and the Booster Bundle is 6 packs. The Elite Trainer Box holds 9 packs and a full-art foil Zarude promo; the Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box holds 11 packs and two Zarude promos, one with the Pokémon Center logo. The products are listed at the end of this page.

Figures come from TCGplayer's sample of more than 4,000 packs, reported July 21, 2026, and a German collector site's aggregate of about 5,750 packs of the German release, reported July 26, 2026, which agree closely on every tier. They are community-tracked, not official Pokémon numbers, and a single box can land anywhere around them.
| Rarity | Odds per pack | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Double Rare | about 1 in 5 packs | About seven per 36-pack box. |
| Ultra Rare | about 1 in 12 packs | Three per box. |
| Illustration Rare | about 1 in 9 packs | About four per box. |
| Special Illustration Rare | about 1 in 80 packs | Any of the six SIRs, so a bit under one per two boxes. One specific SIR, Mega Darkrai ex included, is about 1 in 460 to 480 packs. |
| Mega Hyper Rare (Mega Darkrai ex) | about 1 in 1,000 packs | The two samples measured about 1 in 1,080 and 1 in 950, roughly one per 28 boxes. With only one card at this tier, the tier odds and the card odds are the same. |
The practical reading: the odds above are for any card of that tier. The odds of the one card you are chasing are those odds divided by the number of cards in the tier, which is why a specific Special Illustration Rare is usually cheaper to buy as a single than to open for. Our Pitch Black pull rates article walks through that math with Mega Darkrai ex as the example, and the 30th Celebration guide shows the opposite end of the scale.
Mega Darkrai ex owns the top of this set twice over: the Special Illustration Rare (116/084) is the card most people open Pitch Black for, and the gold Mega Hyper Rare (120/084) is the rarest pull, yet the SIR has traded above its own gold, as in Phantasmal Flames and Chaos Rising, because the art, not the rarity, is what collectors are paying for. Below them sit the Morpeko ex SIR (117/084), the Mega Zeraora ex and Mega Chandelure ex SIRs, and the two Supporter SIRs, Gwynn and Gladion's Final Battle. Mega Excadrill ex has no SIR in this set; its premium print is the Ultra Rare (103/084). Among the illustration rares, Slowbro (090/084) and Goldeen (087/084) are the ones ranked highest.

We do not print prices in our guides because they go stale within days. TCGGuy Market Insights records the market price of every Pitch Black sealed product nightly from public US marketplace listings and sales, with a set index, seven-day movers and each product's history, and the singles page ranks every card in the set by market value.
Bottom line: Pitch Black is a mid-sized Mega Evolution set with one dominant chase. If you want Mega Darkrai ex, decide up front whether you are buying packs for the experience or buying the single for the card: one SIR every two boxes or so, spread over six SIRs, and a gold at roughly one per 28 boxes make the single the reliable route. The illustration rares (Slowbro, Goldeen, Primarina and friends) and the Morpeko ex and Mega Zeraora ex SIRs are the reasons to open a box anyway.
Product pages show live pricing and availability:
Stock on an older set comes and goes, so the links above always show what is buyable right now. If a product shows sold out, use Notify me on its page and we will email you when more arrives.
