Ascended Heroes released on January 30, 2026 as a special expansion of the Mega Evolution Series, numbered ME02.5 between Phantasmal Flames and Perfect Order. It is built the way Prismatic Evolutions was: a large set (217 cards in the main numbering, 295 with the secret rares) sold through Elite Trainer Boxes, Booster Bundles, ex Boxes, tins and collections rather than a 36-pack booster box. The Pokémon Company describes it as a celebration of the stars of Scarlet and Violet and the dawn of Mega Evolution, which is why it mixes new Mega Evolution Pokémon ex (Mega Meganium, Mega Emboar, Mega Feraligatr, Mega Charizard Y, Mega Dragonite, Mega Gengar and more) with returning Trainer's Pokémon (Erika's, Ethan's, Lillie's, N's, Iono's, Hop's, Cynthia's, Larry's, Marnie's, Steven's and Team Rocket's) and the Tera Pokémon ex of the Scarlet and Violet era. It also introduces a rarity, the Mega Attack Rare, which The Pokémon Company presents as the spirit of the XY-era M Pokémon-EX cards: a Mega Evolution Pokémon ex in a bright, distinct illustration with the attack name written in Japanese across the art. Two golds close the set: Mega Charizard Y ex (294/217) and Mega Dragonite ex (295/217).
This page is the reference list: every Ascended Heroes card in set order, with the rarity names TCGplayer and most price trackers use, the illustrator credit, and the card text. If you want pull-rate math and buying advice for a hard set, our Pitch Black pull rates article covers that; if you want the other sets in the series, the card lists for Mega Evolution, Phantasmal Flames, Perfect Order, Chaos Rising are built the same way.

Ryuno Glide330 Discard 2 Energy from this Pokémon.
Ascended Heroes pull rates
Figures come from community trackers (Card Codex and TCGtalk, which disagree on the SIR and Mega Hyper Rare rates); we have not found a published TCGplayer sample for this set, so the ranges above are the honest answer until one appears. They are community-tracked, not official Pokémon numbers, and a single box can land anywhere around them.
Rarity
Odds per pack
Notes
Double Rare
about 1 in 5 packs
There are 39 of them, so any single ex is a long shot per pack.
Illustration Rare
about 1 in 9 packs
33 to collect.
Mega Attack Rare
about 1 in 30 packs
Community estimate; the tier is new, so samples are small.
Special Illustration Rare
about 1 in 70 to 1 in 110 packs
Published estimates disagree this widely. With 22 different SIRs, the odds of one specific card are far longer.
Mega Hyper Rare
about 1 in 200 to 1 in 540 packs
Again the estimates disagree; both are much friendlier than the 1 in 1,260 of the regular sets, which fits a product-only set with no booster box.
The practical reading: the odds above are for any card of that tier. The odds of the one card you are chasing are those odds divided by the number of cards in the tier, which is why a specific Special Illustration Rare is usually cheaper to buy as a single than to open for. Our Pitch Black article walks through that math for a harder set, and the 30th Celebration guide shows the opposite end of the scale.
The chase cards in Ascended Heroes
Pikachu ex leads the set with two Special Illustration Rares (276/217 and 277/217), followed by Mega Gengar ex (284/217) and Mega Dragonite ex (290/217), which is also the set's rarer gold. Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex, N's Zoroark ex, Lillie's Clefairy ex and the three starter Megas (Mega Meganium, Mega Emboar, Mega Feraligatr) make up the next tier, and the three Supporter SIRs (Canari, Iris's Fighting Spirit, Surfer) close the premium list. With 22 SIRs and two golds, this set spreads value across more cards than any regular Mega Evolution set, which is good news for people opening packs and bad news for anyone chasing one specific card.

Tracking Ascended Heroes prices
We do not print prices in our guides because they go stale within days. TCGGuy Market Insights records the market price of every Ascended Heroes sealed product nightly from public US marketplace listings and sales, with a set index, seven-day movers and each product's history, and the singles page ranks every card in the set by market value.
Bottom line: Ascended Heroes is the big, product-only set of the series: 295 cards, 22 SIRs, two golds and a new rarity. Pull rates are friendlier than the regular sets, value is spread wide, and there is no booster box, so packs come from the Elite Trainer Box, the Booster Bundle and the collections. Open it if you like variety; buy singles if you want Pikachu ex or Mega Gengar ex specifically.
Stock on an older set comes and goes, so the links above always show what is buyable right now. If a product shows sold out, use Notify me on its page and we will email you when more arrives. To follow the market for every product in the release, sealed prices are tracked nightly on Market Insights (no login needed):
Set facts are from The Pokémon Company International's announcements and the official Pokémon TCG site. Pull rates are community-tracked figures, not official Pokémon numbers. Card text and illustrator data via TCGdex (MIT). Card images are the property of The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Creatures, and GAME FREAK and are shown for identification. Card values change constantly.
Every 30th Celebration card with its rarity, artist and text: the main set and secret rares, the RGB Mew, the 30 Classic Collection reprints and the 18 product promos.
