The Pokémon Company International announced Chaos Rising on March 12, 2026 and released it worldwide on May 22, 2026, as the fourth main expansion of the Mega Evolution Series. Its story beat is Mega Floette ex causing havoc as night falls over Lumiose City, with Mega Greninja ex, Mega Pyroar ex, Mega Gallade ex and Mega Dragalge ex on the other side of the fight. The official announcement also notes that the Mega Evolution Pokémon ex appear as ultra rare cards featuring silhouettes of their original forms in the artwork, which you can see in the Ultra Rare tier of the list above.
This page is the reference list: every Chaos Rising card in set order, with the rarity names TCGplayer and most price trackers use, the illustrator credit, and the card text. If you want pull-rate math and buying advice for a hard set, our Pitch Black pull rates article covers that; if you want the other sets in the series, the card lists for Mega Evolution, Phantasmal Flames, Ascended Heroes, Perfect Order are built the same way.

Chaos Rising pull rates
Figures come from TCGplayer's sample of more than 8,500 packs, reported June 4, 2026 (as covered by Cardlines and TCGtalk). They are community-tracked, not official Pokémon numbers, and a single box can land anywhere around them.
Rarity
Odds per pack
Notes
Double Rare
about 1 in 5 packs
In line with the rest of the series.
Illustration Rare
about 1 in 9 packs
About four per 36-pack box.
Special Illustration Rare
about 1 in 80 packs
TCGplayer's sample put it at 1.21% per pack, so a bit under one per two boxes.
Mega Hyper Rare (Mega Greninja ex)
about 1 in 1,000 packs
TCGplayer's sample measured 0.10% per pack. With only one card at this tier, the tier odds and the card odds are the same.
The practical reading: the odds above are for any card of that tier. The odds of the one card you are chasing are those odds divided by the number of cards in the tier, which is why a specific Special Illustration Rare is usually cheaper to buy as a single than to open for. Our Pitch Black article walks through that math for a harder set, and the 30th Celebration guide shows the opposite end of the scale.
The chase cards in Chaos Rising
Mega Greninja ex owns the top of this set twice over: the Special Illustration Rare (116/086) is the card most people open Chaos Rising for, and the gold Mega Hyper Rare (122/086) is the rarest pull. Below them sit the Mega Floette ex and Mega Dragalge ex SIRs, the Cinccino ex SIR, and the two Supporter SIRs, AZ's Tranquility and Roxie's Performance. As with Phantasmal Flames and Pitch Black, the SIR of the headline Mega has tended to trade above its own gold version, because the art, not the rarity, is what collectors are paying for.

Tracking Chaos Rising prices
We do not print prices in our guides because they go stale within days. TCGGuy Market Insights records the market price of every Chaos Rising sealed product nightly from public US marketplace listings and sales, with a set index, seven-day movers and each product's history, and the singles page ranks every card in the set by market value.
Bottom line: Chaos Rising is a mid-sized Mega Evolution set with one clear chase. If you want Mega Greninja ex, decide up front whether you are buying packs for the experience or buying the single for the card: at roughly one SIR every two boxes, and six different SIRs to land on, the single is the reliable route. The illustration rares (Chespin, Froakie, Frogadier, Xerneas and friends) are the cheap, pretty reason to open a box anyway.
Stock on an older set comes and goes, so the links above always show what is buyable right now. If a product shows sold out, use Notify me on its page and we will email you when more arrives. To follow the market for every product in the release, sealed prices are tracked nightly on Market Insights (no login needed):
