The quick version

  • GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE Vol.2 releases in English on September 25, 2026, the same week as the Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese editions.
  • New box format: 10 packs of 8 cards per box and 12 boxes per case. This is the first Weiss Schwarz set with the smaller box, and later sets follow it.
  • 112 cards plus parallels, hot-stamped signatures from 40 voice actors, and a first-edition-only Autograph Rare of Cinderella hand-signed by Aoi Yuki.
  • Every box has a bonus PR card (1 of 26) and every case adds another (1 of 12).
  • Vol.2 is playable with the first NIKKE set. That set was reprinted in 2026 with silver instead of gold hot-stamps and no box toppers, so check which print you are buying.

The first GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE set was one of the fastest sellers Weiss Schwarz English had in 2025. Vol.2 arrives September 25, 2026 with a new box format, a new chase card, and the same NIK/ deck code, so everything you pulled from the first set still plays. Here is what is in the box, how the two sets fit together, and what to know about the first set now that it has been reprinted.

What is NIKKE, and why does it sell?

GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE is a sci-fi RPG shooter from developer Shift Up, published by Level Infinite. It launched on mobile in November 2022 and on PC in early 2023. The story has humanity driven underground into the Ark, with the player commanding android soldiers called Nikkes to retake the surface. The game is known for its character designs and its large cast, which is exactly what a character-driven card game like Weiss Schwarz is built to sell. The first set covered Rapi, Anis, Neon, Modernia, Scarlet, Red Hood, Snow White, Dorothy and more, and Vol.2 brings in newer faces like Cinderella.

How does Weiss Schwarz work with a licensed set like this?

Weiss Schwarz is Bushiroad's card game where every set is a different licensed anime or game. The rules are shared, but under the Neo-Standard deck rule you build a deck from a single title. A NIKKE deck is made of NIKKE cards, and Vol.2 cards carry the same NIK/ card number prefix as the first set, so the two sets combine into one deck. If you are new to the game, our explainer on why Weiss Schwarz builds every set around a different anime covers the basics.

What is in a NIKKE Vol.2 box?

From the official product page:

  • Release: September 25, 2026 (English). Japan released on September 19, with all four language editions in the same week.
  • Configuration: 8 cards per pack, 10 packs per box, 12 boxes per case.
  • Card count: 112 types plus parallels.
  • Rarities: AGR 1, SEC 5, SSP 9, SP 31, RRR 13, SR 99, RR 12, R 27, U 30, C 30, CR 13.
  • Box topper: 1 of 26 exclusive PR cards in every box (13 normal, 13 parallel).
  • Case topper: 1 of 12 exclusive PR cards in every case.
  • Signatures: hot-stamped signature cards from 40 cast members can appear in packs, including Aoi Yuki (Cinderella), Kana Hanazawa (Modernia), Rie Takahashi (Diesel), Yui Ishikawa (Rapi: Red Hood), Yui Horie (Maiden: Ice Rose) and Ayana Taketatsu (Privaty).
  • New art: 14 illustrations drawn for this set.

Why is the box smaller than the first set?

The first NIKKE set shipped in 12-pack boxes with 24 boxes per case. Starting with Vol.2, Bushiroad moved Weiss Schwarz to 10-pack boxes and 12-box cases. Cards per pack stay at 8. Bushiroad has not published a reason. The practical effects: a box is a smaller commitment, a case is now 120 packs instead of 288, and sets announced after this one (Kaiju No. 8, for example) use the same format. Do not compare Vol.2 box pricing to first-set box pricing pack for pack without adjusting for the 10 versus 12 count.

What is the chase card?

The single Autograph Rare (AGR) is the top of this set: Cinderella, hand-signed by her voice actress Aoi Yuki. Bushiroad states it is included in the 1st Edition print only. Below it sit five SEC and nine SSP cards, and the 31 SP cards are where most of the hot-stamped signatures land. Because the AGR is a first-edition card, sealed 1st Edition boxes are what collectors will want to hold, and any later reprint of Vol.2 would follow Bushiroad's usual pattern of changing the high-rarity specs.

What about the first NIKKE set?

Booster Pack GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE released in English on April 18, 2025 with a matching Trial Deck. It had 115 cards plus 173 parallels, 12 packs per box, hot-stamped signature SP cards from 33 cast members, a Going First / Going Second box topper, and a stitched playmat in every case. It sold through quickly, and by the end of 2025 sealed first-edition boxes were trading above their original retail price.

Three of the first set's hot-stamped SP signature cards, with the gold stamps of the 1st Edition (official sample images):

In January 2026 Bushiroad announced a reprint due to popular demand, with retailers taking orders for a late March 2026 delivery, and it stated that certain high-rarity cards have different specifications from the 1st Edition. The reprint keeps the hot-stamped signature cards, but the SP signatures are stamped in silver rather than gold, the SEC and SSP finishes change, and reprint boxes and cases ship without the box topper and the case playmat. The English first set never had a hand-signed AGR, so there was none to lose.

The stitched playmat that came one per case with the 1st Edition, and not with the reprint:

What that means if you are buying the first set today:

  • To play: either print works. Reprint cards are fully legal alongside Vol.2, and reprint boxes are the cheaper way to build the deck.
  • To collect: the gold-stamp signatures, the Going First / Going Second topper and the playmat exist only in the 1st Edition, so first-print sealed product keeps its premium over the reprint.
  • How to tell them apart: a 1st Edition box has the box topper inside and gold signature stamps on its SP cards; a reprint box has no topper and silver stamps. Ask the seller which print it is before paying a first-edition price.

Should you buy Vol.2 by the box or the case?

If you want the deck plus a shot at signatures, a box gets you 80 cards and one of the 26 box PR cards. If you are chasing the Cinderella AGR or a full parallel run, the case adds the case-only PR card and 120 packs of odds. Either way, first-edition product is the one to lock in at pre-order, because the AGR does not carry into a later print.

Bottom line: NIKKE Vol.2 is a smaller box with a bigger headline card. Pre-order 1st Edition if the Cinderella AGR or the gold-stamp signatures matter to you. Build the deck from reprint boxes of the first set, and keep any first-print boxes you already own sealed.
