On July 30, 2026, it became a trading card game too, published by Bushiroad as the Palworld Official Card Game, printed simultaneously in English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese. What's in a Dawn of Palpagos booster box?
Dawn of Palpagos is the game's launch set, and a booster box holds 12 packs, 7 cards per pack, for 84 cards total. Per Bushiroad's own official set page, the base set runs 100 card types across the standard Double Rare, Rare, Uncommon, and Common spread, plus a deep parallel-treatment pool on top: 61 additional parallel cards. Every card in the set uses original illustration, not reused game art, which is part of why it has landed well with collectors as much as players.
Cards come in four types: Pal, Event, Gear, and Structure, which map onto the deckbuilding basics below.
How does deckbuilding work?
A Palworld OCG deck is 50 cards. You pick up to two colors from Red, Blue, Green, and Purple, and build around them alongside Colorless cards, which slot into any deck regardless of color. The usual TCG copy limit applies: no more than 4 copies of any single card name in a deck.

What's next: Legends Awaken

Worth thinking through before you decide whether to pre-order or wait, and this holds whether you play, collect, or invest: normally the best price on a new set comes a few days or weeks after release, once the launch hype cools and stock settles in, so patience usually pays. Legends Awaken looks like the exception. Pre-order demand has run hot, our first allocation moved fast, and the launch set is still sold out well after release. When a set moves like that, locking in a pre-order price tends to beat waiting, and it also guarantees you a copy on release day instead of chasing a sold-out listing later.
Why is Dawn of Palpagos sold out, and when's it back?
If Dawn of Palpagos is hard to find right now, you're not imagining it. The set launched on July 30, 2026, and that first-edition print run sold through fast. Demand outpaced supply, and Bushiroad has since confirmed a restock plan directly:
- More first-edition stock in September 2026. Bushiroad's announcement says additional shipments of the 1st Edition Dawn of Palpagos will be available in September. This is the same edition as the original July print, just more of it.
- A second-edition run shipping in late October 2026. This one is a fresh reprint. Per Bushiroad's own announcement, every card in the 2nd Edition carries a small Roman numeral "II" in the bottom-right corner. That mark is the only real difference from the original print, so a 2nd Edition box is the same set, same cards, same pull odds, just a later printing.
So there's no mystery window here. If you're waiting on a specific Dawn of Palpagos item, these are real dates from the publisher, not an open-ended "check back sometime."
A collector's note: the first-edition "Palword" misprint
Here's a quirk worth knowing if you care about print runs. Every first-edition English box and pack of Dawn of Palpagos carries a printing error: the game's name is misspelled "Palword" (missing an L) in the top-right corner of the packaging. Bushiroad has officially acknowledged it on the product's own page, stating that "a printing error (misspelling of the word 'Palworld') was found on the packs and box of the product" and that they "will adjust this in future reprints."
Because the misprint is on the entire first English print run, it isn't a rare error or a value multiplier on its own. A flaw that every single box shares is a date stamp, not a rarity. What it is good for is telling editions apart at a glance: the original print reads "Palword" and carries no edition mark, while the second edition (shipping late October) fixes the spelling and adds the small Roman numeral "II" described above. If owning verifiable first-print product matters to you, the misspelling is the tell, so check the top-right corner before you buy from a reseller.
Should you buy in now?
If you're a collector or player who likes getting in on the ground floor of a new game, Dawn of Palpagos is a genuinely complete starting point: a real 100-card base set, a deep parallel chase for the collector side, and Trial Decks that get you playing immediately without deckbuilding from scratch. If you're unsure whether you'll stick with the game, a single Trial Deck is a low-commitment way to try it before committing to a booster box or a Legends Awaken pre-order.
